With over 15 years of dedicated experience in special education, I have developed a deep understanding of students with unique learning needs. My background spans roles as a special education teacher, IEP Compliance in a large public school district, and Assistant Director of Pupil Personnel Services for a Connecticut school district. For the past three years, I have passionately advocated for parents, leveraging my extensive knowledge of IEP compliance to offer tailored support and advocacy for children with special learning and behavioral needs.
I holds certifications in special education from both New York and Connecticut. I earned my Bachelor’s degree from Rollins College, a Master’s in Childhood Education from Hunter College, and a Master’s in Special Education from the College of Saint Rose. Most recently, I completed my doctorate in Educational Leadership at the University of Bridgeport, focusing my research on childhood trauma and ADHD. I am currently a first year law student at Vermont Law and Graduate School.

Educational Record Reviews and File Organization

I offer record reviews of your child’s educational records in which I will take an in-depth, comprehensive review of all materials from report cards, grades, IEPs, 504s and evaluations. I synthesize all of the information into a tracking document for you to have a comprehensive overview of your child’s plans and evaluations. I will provide a written report of recommendations and records in an organized digital file for you to keep for your records.

Educational Consulting

I offer continuing consultative services after record reviews to update records as the school year goes on and coach you to be your child’s best advocate. I can offer recommendations on evaluations, evaluators, and input on supports or services in schools.
